Who we are

This website is run by Andrew Uskov, trading as Uskov Renovations ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described below. You can contact us at info@uskovrenovations.com or on 07391 348989.

What we collect, and why

Enquiry form. If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, telephone number (optional), the service you're interested in, the location of the project and the message you write. We use this only to reply to you, arrange a visit and prepare a quote.

Bathroom Rescue form. If you apply or nominate someone, we collect your name, email, telephone number, the town or postcode, the name of the person nominated (if any), your description of the situation and any photos you upload. Please share only what you are comfortable with. We use it only to consider the application and contact you about it.

Calls, texts, WhatsApp and email. If you contact us directly, we keep the messages and your contact details so we can reply and carry out the work.

If you become a customer. We keep the records needed to carry out the job and to meet our accounting and legal obligations (for example quotes, invoices and payment records).

Our legal basis

• Replying to enquiries and preparing quotes: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
• Carrying out a job and keeping records: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
• Bathroom Rescue applications: your consent, which you give when you tick the boxes on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing to other businesses. Some service providers handle it for us:

• Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions.
• Email and domain providers (including Namecheap for our domain and email forwarding, and Google Mail where we receive messages).
• Qualified electricians, gas engineers and suppliers, only where a job needs them and only the details they need to do their part.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, they rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead are normally deleted within about 12 months. Customer and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires, usually up to six years. Bathroom Rescue applications that are not taken forward are deleted within about 12 months.

Videos

Our work videos open in a separate tab on Google's video service and are then governed by Google's own privacy policy. See our Cookie Policy.

Photos of our work

Photos on this website show our work. We don't publish customers' names or addresses with them. If you recognise your home in a photo and would like it removed, tell us and we will take it down.

Bathroom Rescue is different. If a project is selected, the person whose bathroom it is appears in the photos and video, with their agreement, and these are shared online. They can ask us to take them down later.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can also object to us using it. To do any of these, email info@uskovrenovations.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
